What is StoryKrafters Digital?
StoryKrafters Digital is an iOS app that creates personalized children's stories and illustrations. You add the children and characters in your family as "cast members," choose a theme, and the app writes and illustrates an original picture book starring them.
How do I create a story?
Add a cast member (your child or another character) with a name and a few details, pick a theme for the story, and tap to create. The app writes the story and generates the illustrations for you. Creating a book takes a few minutes — you can leave the app and we'll have it ready when you come back.
Why does my book say it's still generating?
Writing and illustrating an original book takes a little time, and occasionally a page needs a second attempt. If a book has been stuck for more than about 15 minutes, try closing and reopening the app. If it still hasn't finished, email us the book's name at support@storykrafters.com and we'll look into it and make it right.
How do photos and a child's likeness get used?
Photos you add are used only to create that child's personalized stories and illustrations. We never sell them, never use them to train AI models for anyone else, and never use them in advertising. You can delete photos and the content made from them at any time. See our Privacy Policy for the full details.
Can I add more than one child or character?
Yes. You can add multiple cast members and create stories for each of them, and characters can appear together in the same book.
Does the app read stories aloud?
Yes — many stories include narration so your child can listen along. If narration isn't available or doesn't play for a particular book, let us know and we'll help.
How do referrals work?
You can share your personal referral code with friends from inside the app. When someone joins using your code, both of you are rewarded. If a referral doesn't seem to have applied, email us with the code and we'll sort it out.
03Subscriptions & billing
Subscriptions are purchased and billed through Apple's App Store, so your subscription and payment details are managed in your Apple Account rather than by us directly.
Manage or cancel your subscription
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
- Select StoryKrafters Digital to change your plan or cancel.
Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.
Restore a purchase
If you've reinstalled the app or switched devices and your subscription isn't showing, open the app and use the Restore Purchases option on the subscription screen while signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with.
Refunds
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If you ran into a problem that you think deserves a refund, email us too — we're happy to help advocate for you.
04Your account & data
You're always in control of your information.
- You can delete your account, a child's profile, uploaded photos, and the content created from them directly within the app.
- You can also email support@storykrafters.com and we'll delete your account and associated personal data, except where we're legally required to keep certain records.

05Troubleshooting basics
A few quick things to try before reaching out — these resolve most issues:
- Fully close and reopen the app. This clears most temporary glitches.
- Check your internet connection. Creating stories and loading illustrations needs a stable connection.
- Make sure you're on the latest version. Update StoryKrafters Digital from the App Store.
- Confirm you're signed in with the same account and Apple Account you set up with.
If something still isn't working, email support@storykrafters.com with the details from Section 01 and we'll take it from there.
